She asked me if we could do something different than typical headshots. She wanted someone willing to capture who she truly was, rather than typical headshots that ever business owner has. She wanted something more and a chance to stand out and convey to people who she truly is. I said yes and headed North with Holly Grace to actualize her dream of self-reflective portraits. This is what I love about my job. You can’t be a good photographer and have cookie-cutter views of taking photos of different individuals. To be a good photographer you have to care about who a person is as an individual and be able to uniquely reflect who they are and how they stand out in a crowd. You have to know people and you have to love people. You have to give them the chance to feel comfortable enough in front of the camera to allow their True personality to manifest itself.
